Di cosa parla The O.C.?
Quando Ryan Atwood finisce in galera per aver aiutato il fratello a rubare una macchina, l'avvocato Sandy Cohen lo fa scagionare e lo ospita nella sua sfarzosa villa nella contea di Orange, dove vive con la moglie Kirsten e il solitario figlio Seth. Ryan, ragazzo di periferia, si scontra quindi con la ricca e viziata città di Newport Beach, facendo amicizia con Seth, il quale lo aiuterà ad integrarsi con i suoi coetanei: Marissa Cooper, la bella e tormentata ragazza vicina di casa dei Cohen, e Summer Roberts, della quale Seth è innamorato ma a cui non ha mai avuto il coraggio di rivolgere la parola.

The Cohen family says goodbye in the series finale as the episode jumps six months after the earthquake to show the Cohens, Ryan, Taylor, Summer and the Cooper women trying to piece their lives back together. The Cohens find out that fixing up their old mansion would cost more than rebuilding it but Ryan and Seth see this as an opportunity to give Sandy and an expecting Kirsten a surprise that'll change their lives.
